Riverina Essentials Candles are hand poured in small batches from the highest quality soy wax. Candle jars have approximately 60 hours burn time and travel tins 25 hours if burnt properly. The first burn is important and the wax should melt all the way to the sides of the tin which can take up to 4 hours. After 4 hours we advise that you blow your candle out and let it cool completely and reseal. This is called burn memory. Trim wick to 5mm after each burn to ensure the candle is not burning too fast or unevenly. If wick is left too long soot can occur of the sides of the glass. To overcome this simply extinguish candle and wipe with a damp cloth, trim wick and reignite.

We use soy wax for its renewable and natural properties. It is unlikely to trigger allergies as it burns clean and contains no toxins, pollutants or carcinogens. Soy wax candles can last 30-50% longer than regular paraffin candles because the wax burns slower and cooler and over time the scent is gradually released. Our fragrances are a blend of natural essential oils and manmade ingredients. Fragrance oils are used instead of pure essential oils as they are fine-tuned for the wax whereas essential oils are fixed in composition and can be unstable to work with. Our fragrances are like a perfume you would wear, they're safe and give a beautiful scent to your surrounds.

Every effort is made to produce a consistent line of candles however when using natural soy wax, occasionally you may notice darker colouring or wet spots in your candle. This a sign of true natural wax and will not affect the quality or burn of your candle.
